Two days before the start of training camp, the Arizona Cardinals added to their linebacker corps by signing veteran Donald Butler.

Butler (6 feet 1, 242 pounds) has started 62 games over the past six seasons with the San Diego Chargers, after being a third-round draft pick out of Washington in 2010. He played in all 16 games for the Chargers last season (nine starts) and was credited with 54 tackles, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, a half sack and five tackles for loss.

To make room on the roster, linebacker Quayshawn Nealy was released.
