TUCSON — Arizona is seeded 11th for the NCAA Softball Championships and will host LSU, Louisville and Boston University in the regional round of the tournament, Friday through Sunday at Hillenbrand Stadium.
The Wildcats take a 41-13 record into the tournament and will host Patriot League tournament champion Boston (35-19) on Friday at 8 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
Friday’s other game pits at-large entry LSU (35-22) vs. American Conference tournament champion Louisville (36-20) at 5:30 p.m.
The double-elimination regional continues Saturday with games at 1:30, 4 and 6:30 p.m. The two remaining teams will meet on Sunday at 1:30 p.m., with a second game, if necessary, following at 4.
Arizona is paired with sixth-seeded Louisiana Lafayette in the NCAA bracket. If both win in the regional round, the super regional would be the following week in Lafayette, La.
