GLENDALE, Ariz. — Arizona Coyotes Co-Owner, President and CEO Anthony LeBlanc announced today that 73 Coyotes regular season games will be televised on FOX Sports Arizona and FOX Sports Arizona Plus during the 2014-15 National Hockey League season, including the season opener on Oct. 9 vs. the Winnipeg Jets.
Sixty Coyotes games will be televised on FOX Sports Arizona and 13 on FOX Sports Arizona Plus, reaching more than 2.5 million cable and satellite households throughout Arizona and New Mexico. Combined, the two channels will televise 38 Coyotes home games and 35 of the team’s road games.
FOX Sports Arizona has been the Coyotes television partner since the team’s inaugural season in 1996. Last season, according to a Sports Business Journal report, Coyotes TV ratings saw an 85 percent increase from 2011-12 (the last complete, 82-game NHL season) to 2013-14.
"We are very pleased that FOX Sports Arizona will be televising 73 Coyotes games this season," said LeBlanc. "FOX Sports Arizona is an outstanding partner that year after year provides our fans with tremendous Coyotes coverage."
"It’s shaping up to be another outstanding year of Arizona Coyotes hockey on FOX Sports Arizona," said Brian Hogan, FOX Sports Arizona Senior Vice President and General Manager. "With our game telecasts, Coyotes Live pre and post-game shows, original programming offerings and all the content available on FOXSportsArizona.com, our coverage of the team is unmatched."
In addition to the 73 games broadcast on FOX Sports Arizona and FOX Sports Arizona Plus, NBC Sports Network will televise the Coyotes game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday, Feb. 9. In total, 74 Coyotes games will be televised this season; Coyotes fans can watch the other eight games on the NHL Center Ice/GameCenter packages.
Returning to the TV booth to broadcast all Coyotes games on FOX Sports Arizona and FOX Sports Arizona Plus are Matt McConnell (play-by-play) and Tyson Nash (color analyst). For FOX Sports Arizona telecasts from soon to be named Gila River Arena, the network will once again offer its 30-minute pre and post-game shows featuring Todd Walsh, Jody Jackson, McConnell and Nash from a new set located in section 104. The Coyotes Live pre and post-game shows will also air before and after all road games.
