Channing Frye, Phoenix Suns forward, talks with Matt this week about his recovery from an enlarged heart that has sidelined him all season and why he believes the Suns will soon get back on track. The former Arizona Wildcat also discusses his alma mater’s outlook heading into the NCAA Tournament, and he shares a story on why he eventually went to Arizona over Arizona State.
Among his observations:
On his current medical situation: “Health is good. I’m just taking it one day at a time, just doing the doctor-prescribed rest. I’m about as rested as I’ll ever be.”
On how the Phoenix Suns can improve: “It will be fixed during the summer. This year is what it is, our record is what our record is. For the Suns, it’s been a transition year and we have to go through some growing pains.”
On the Arizona-Arizona State rivalry: “It means a lot… no matter what happens you can’t lose to ASU, that just can’t happen.”
