They meet again
The Dodgers and Diamondbacks have seen plenty of each other already this season. Including their season-opening pair of games in Australia, the teams have met eight times. The Dodgers have won seven of those contests and outscored the D-backs 46-28 overall. The Diamondbacks hope to reverse the trend this weekend. "If you remember last year, it was just the opposite," manager Kirk Gibson said. "We beat those guys thoroughly in the first go-rounds, and then it turned around."

The Dodgers should be plenty familiar with Friday starter Wade Miley, as he'll be making his fourth start of the season against them. Miley won his most recent on April 18 with a six-inning, one-run effort, but he'd lost the previous two, allowing eight runs over 10 total innings. Miley has been solid lately, giving up just five runs over his past 14 innings. He is 3-3 with a 3.96 ERA in 11 career appearances (10 starts) against the Dodgers.
The Dodgers might know Miley, but rookie Chase Anderson presents a new challenge. Anderson will make his second career start, first at home and first against the Dodgers after impressing in his major league debut with a one-run effort in 5 1/3 innings of a win against the White Sox last weekend. Anderson takes the mound opposite Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw, who's making his third start since coming off the disabled list.
