Three things to watch: Who's the closer?
Francisco Rodriguez remains unsigned and still could be back to close after he saved 44 games last year. If not, Jonathan Broxton would get a shot to assume the closer's role. Broxton last was a full-time closer in 2012, when he saves 23 games for the Royals before he was traded to the Reds midseason.
Three things to watch: Is Adam Lind the answer at 1B?
The Brewers platooned Mark Reynolds and Lyle Overbay there last season but hope Lind provides stability at the position. The Brewers also need some pop from Lind's left-handed bat, as most of their power comes from right-handed hitters Ryan Braun and Aramis Ramirez.

Three things to watch: Who replaces Yovani Gallardo?
The question is two-fold. Hard-throwing Jimmy Nelson, 25, is the favorite to take Gallardo's spot in the rotation. Meanwhile, right-handers Matt Garza and Kyle Lohse will lead the staff. But can either be the ace Gallardo was for most of his tenure in Milwaukee?
